 Mission Statement The Williams Lake Environmental Society advocates for the conservation and enhancement of the environment through example, education and action.History The Williams Lake Environmental Society was formed in the spring of 1990. Many of the forming members were concerned with forestry issues. But real action began when collection days for recyclables began later that year.In 1992 a recycling depot was established. However, a lack of local government support forced closure in February 1994. The Society hosts numerous activities throughout the year to promote the environment and encourage education. |
